Hey ya'll! I was born in Charlottesville, Virginia and raised in Perry Hall, Maryland. I graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor's degree in marine affairs while earning some credits from Coastal Carolina University and successfully completing the Williams-Mystic Maritime Studies Program in Mystic, Connecticut. I was a recruiter for two years, coached high school and college basketball, helped over forty women lose weight as a personal trainer, and now I am a special education teacher full time.

In March, I opened Nadirah's Health Spot, a small business to help erase the stigma for women and raise awareness for mental health. I own a clothing company with one of my top products, the"Stigma Free" crop tops and leggings being a fan favorite. I began a podcast called "Brave Women Talk" shortly after, a podcast that allows all types of women to live in a stigma free environment and feel more empowered and resilient in their mental health journey.

I was baptized on October 10, 2010. It has not been an easy walk with God, but every day helps me get her closer to Him. I have heavily been involved in the church since I was young; the church choir, volunteering, bible study, and now teaching Sunday school every week.

I have had my own mental health challenges starting in 2016 when it became a major issue. I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder I, then rediagnosed with anxiety in 2021. I know what it is like to be hospitalized and I know what is is like to go through multiple therapists and psychiatrists before you find the right one. I have had much success since sharing my story on my YouTube channel back in 2020 when it first began as an unfinished English project. Now it has become my testimony and a way to help not only, women but men live in a stigma free environment. I primarily focus on women, but in the future, I will be opening my services to men, so stay tuned.

If you would like to know more about my mental health journey, a new video of my updated journey from 2016 to now will be uploaded on Brave Women Talk in 2024.
